   Cinncere, DG, and C. Cardy were born and raise in the East New York section of Brooklyn and began singing at the tender ages of 8,9,11, since there adolescence the brothers and cousin who would be known to the world as RAIN realized their calling to sing, rap, write, dance, and produce. "Since we were little ... what we would is take song rewrite them with our own lyrics" say C. Cardy, one-third of the group.

     Cinncere and DG formed a five man group in high school, performing at various talent competitions and showcases around New York. after graduation, Cinncere and DG decided to branch off when the other members interest waned: "After we graduated, it was like we wanted to go right and they wanted to go left. We wanted the dream: say Cinncere. With the desire to make their dream come true they recruited their cousin C. Cardy.
 

     Rain has been inspired by such artist as Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, Run DMC, Boyz 2 Men, Jodeci, Stevie Wonder, and Commissioned. "We love these particular artist, all for their creative abilities, they blazed new trails and set a new standard but Stevie Wonder and Commissioned had messages, something to say" says DG.  Such focus further cemented the group in their desire to reach people where were they are with a message of truth, hope and love: "We wanted to set the new standard for Hip-hop/RB," RAIN.

RIP - Clarence Reginald Isler aka C. Cardy  

C. Cardy aka Clarence "Reggie" Isler, member of RAIN, an Archetype client, passed away on October 1st, 2008.  All of us at Archetype send our condolences to his family and friends.  He leaves his wife Charity and daughter Patience and hundreds of loving friends, family and fans.  He will be missed.
